This instrument is designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements stipulated in GB/T 3536-2008 Standard of the People's Republic of China "Determination of Flash Point and Flame Point of Petroleum Products Cleveland Open Cup Method" and ASTM D92. It is suitable for the determination of Flash Point of Petroleum Products whose Flash Point of Open Cup is higher than 79ºC except fuel oil by the method prescribed in this standard.

Temperature Measurement Range: Room Temperature to 400ºC

Heating rate: At the beginning of heating, the heating rate of the sample ranges from 4(ºC/min)~17(ºC/min) .When the sample reaches the last 23ºC±5ºC before the expected flash point,the heating rate ranges from 5(ºC/min)~6(ºC/min).
Test ignition source: natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas or butane gas/electronic ignition.
Ignition test cycle: 23ºC±5ºC before reaching the expected flash point, it will sweep once when the temperature increase very 2ºC.
Flash point value: If the difference between the observed flash point and the initial ignition temperature is less than 18ºC, then the result is invalid. In this condition,new specimens should be replaced and re-determined, and the initial ignition temperature should be adjusted until the effective results are achieved. That means the flash point value should be higher than the initial ignition temperature by more than 18ºC.
