The Paper and Paperboard Cob Absorbability Tester is a special instrument for the determination of the water absorption of paper and board surfaces. Its main technical specifications and performance parameters are in accordance with ISO 535 "Paper and Cardboard - Determination of Water Absorption - Cobb Method" and QB /T1668 "Ke Bo absorption tester" relevant provisions.
This instrument is mainly used to measure the amount of absorbed water on the surface of sizing paper and board under the conditions specified by the standard. Loose paper (such as newsprint paper), unsized paper (such as blotter paper), and other highly absorbent papers are not suitable for this instrument. Other test methods and instruments should be used.
