Carbon black sieve residue content is is an important index for characterizing the quality of the carbon black (especially new process for carbon black), it has good correlation with the physical and mechanical properties of rubber.Carbon black sieve residue content is directly related to carbon black production technology and technical equipment level. It is very important to the test of Carbon black sieve residue to control the quality of carbon black in production.

International organization for standardization ISO1437-1958 (E) "Teat method of sieve residue-carbon black-rubber compounding agent", ISO5797/1-1984"Teat method of 45μm sieve residue in < Rubber compounding agent - precipitation - hydration: silicon oxide - Part 1: non rubber experiment > ", ISO787/18-1983<General test methods of pigment and extender pigment - Part 18: sieve residue test-mechanical washing method > and American Society for testing and materials ASTMD1514-80 and so on both stipulate the test of carbon black sieve residue.

The people's Republic of China national standard GB/T3780.21-91 also stipulate the test method of carbon black sieve residue.

According to the requirements of the above standards, in order to meet the demand of carbon black analysis in carbon black and rubber industry, we designed and made the CRT-60 type Carbon Black Residue Tester, using this device can test 35mesh (500μm),100mesh (150μm),325mesh (45μm) and other mesh carbon black sieve residue.The device also can test 325 mesh (45μm) sieve residue and 100 mesh (150μm) coarse grain of white carbon black(Precipitated hydrated silica), at the same time, the device also can test other sieve residue in chemical analysis.
