Product Description

Series ZYD Double-Stage Vacuum Transformer Oil Purification Systems is used for transformer oil dehydration and transformer oil degasification as well as other electrical insulating liquids such as silicone fluids with modern technique.  The ZYD Process is able to increase and maintain the oil's dielectric strength and includes the removal of free and soluble water, free and dissolved air and gases and other particulate matter.  The standard ZYD system is designed for processing oils in workshops, in storage tanks or directly in transformers (energized or de-energized transformers). Series ZYD oil purifier can be used as an independent vacuum source with functions of vacuum drying and vacuum oiling.
Regular servicing of transformers with our equipment can substantially improve their lifetime and performance and on top helps to save money.
The new line of . oil treatment plants Type ZYD", with variable flow capacity, is designed for most economical conditioning and drying of insulating oils. The plants are designed for the following applications:
 
  1. The plant is delivered ready for operation.
  2. Degassing, dehydration and filtering  process if various kind of insulation oils in electrical transformers and circuit breakers through put in one or several passes
3. There are two vacuum pumps for plant ZYD (one is the vacuum pump, other one is the booster roots pump), which can improve the vacuum value highly. Making sure the water-content of the treated oil is less than 3 PPM.
4. All oil treatment plants, type ZYD are equipped with an automatic Anti-Foam Control System. 
5. The plant is equipped with built-in control and safety devices, which provides for a maximum operating security.
6.  Minimised power consumption through optimised degassing (excellent efficiency factor).
7. Standardized filter housing for 1/5 micron, 20 micron and 80 micron filter cartridges.
8. Automatic supervision of the degree of contamination of the fine filter cartridges
9. ZYD can evacuate the vacuum for the electric equipments separately, such as the transformer. Also it can be used to dry the electric equipment and input the oil into the electric equipment under the vacuum state.
10. The machine adopts the double-infrared liquid automatic controller, pressure automatic-protector which
can make sure the machine works online for 150 hours continuously without person. So it is a reliable and
high automatically machine.
11. Adopt interlocked protective system, which connect oil pump, heater and liquid level sensor, avoiding blank heating, blank pumping, oil leak and electricity leak. If there is any fault, machine will be power off automatically.
12. Functions of live line work on-site, vacuum drying and vacuum oiling.

The working principle and structure (Chart1, Chart2):
The insulating oil is conveyed into the degassing tank by means of pressure difference. Oil is indirectly heated by the heater, thus avoiding hot spots and over-swinging of the pre-selected operating temperature. The special degassing system and geometry with several stages in degassing tank creates a large oil surface and a resulting thin film for most effective maximum degassing. The treatment with a lower end vacuum (-0.08 to -0.095 MPa) guarantees, among others, that no light fractions are evaporated in the insulating oil, whereby the required characteristics of the oil are not changed.
The oil level regulation in the degassing tank assures a continuous oil flow-through in the plant, thus resulting in an optimised degassing of the oil.
After degassing and dehydration under vacuum, the oil is conveyed by means of a specially sealed and frequency controlled pump through the fine filter and out of the plant.

The basic equipment of the plant comprises the following components:

Equipped with all necessary valves, pressure gauge, oil sample valve as well as easy to change filter cartridges with a fineness of either 5 or 1 micron absolute.
Note: The filter housing is designed for the acceptance of 1 or 5 micron filter cartridges. Standard execution of the plant is supplied with 5 micron cartridges.
Item 7 Carbon fiber infrared oil heater
Double-infrared liquid automatic controller The indirect heating of the oil is carried out by means of electrical resistance heating elements, which are separated from the oil by vacuum tight protection tubes. A small specific heat load (less 1 W/cm2) guarantees a careful heating of the oil. Automatic temperature controller regulates the heating of the oil. The heating temperature range can be adjusted between 0-100ºC. We usually set at 45 to 60ºC. When the temperature exceed, it will stop automatically. If lower, it can restart automatically.
As installed with safety protection devices, the heating system is secure and reliable. The heater will stop operation automatically when the oil volume of inlet is too low to avoid the damages of heater.

Item 11 Large Thin Film Layer Degassing tank
The high performance . degassing tank is equipped with an oil distributor and degassing system, as well as with an illuminated viewing glass. The oil level control system (OLC-system) guarantees a continuous oil flow at variable oil through-put. The oil foam- control system supervises the oil level, respectively the foam level in the degassing tank. Automatic foam level control system (AFC-system) guarantees optimal oil purification without entering air from atmosphere.
Due the extreme large surface in degassing tank the operating vacuum guarantees lowest moisture content in the oil after one or several passes without effect the vapour pressure of the insulating oils.

Pump is equipped with vacuum-tight shaft seal, over pressure safety valve, direct drive motor.

The oil level control system is installed at the bottom of the degassing tank prevents the oil pump from running dry, i.e. without oil. In the case of a low oil level in degassing tank, the oil pump and the heater will stop automatically.
