SPK-382 Smoke Point Tester

Applications:

Smoke point apparatus for kerosene conforms to the ASTM D1322 Standard Test Method for Smoke Point of Kerosene . The apparatus provides an indication of the relative smoke producing properties of kerosenes in a diffusion flame. The smoke point is related to the hydrocarbon type composition of such fuels. Generally the more aromatic the fuel the smokier the flame. A high smoke point indicates a fuel of low smoke producing tendency.
 

Features:

1. The sample burns in the standard lamp, the variations of flame height is displayed on the background of millimeter ruler. Lift the Oil conservator slowly and uniformly, raise the lamp wick to the flame which just appears smoke, and then lower it to the smoke tail point which just disappears. This point is the sample's smoke point
2. The apparatus is designed with compact structure, perfect integrity and attractive appearance.
3. The apparatus consists of no electrical element.

1.Chimney. Chimney should be marked on the black glass in white is divided equally by the middle 2mm white or black streak. The measuring range is 0~50mm, each scale stands for 1mm. Mark the number in every ten millimeters, and draw longer graticule at every five scales from starting point.2.wick guide. The top of wick guide should keep same horizontal line with starting point of ruler accurately.
3.candle lifting stand. The whole stroke range should be 10mm at least, it's better to move smoothly and keep uniformity. When candle stays at the lowest position and the wick guide stretch out 6mm from the top, the wick guide would be no exceeded to the wick tube (starting point of scale)
4.Candle. Candle mainly composed of its noumenon, wick tube, air tube and its critical dimension conforms to the ASTM D1322. The inner diameter of oil conservator's noumenon is φ21.25±0.05 and length is 109.0±0.05. The inner diameter of wick tube is φ4.7±0.05 and length is 82.0±0.005. The inner diameter of the air tube isφ3.5±0.05 and length is 90.0±0.05.
