- Purpose and scope of application
The water-soluble acid and alkali tester for petroleum products is designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements specified in the People's Republic of China standard GB/T 259 "Determination of Water-Soluble Acid and Alkali of Petroleum Products". It is suitable for the determination of water-soluble acids and water-soluble alkalis in liquid petroleum products, additives, grease, paraffin and wax- containing components according to the method specified in GB/T 259.
This instrument uses distilled water or ethanol aqueous solution to extract the water-soluble acid and water-soluble alkali in the sample. Then use methyl orange or phenolphthalein indicator to check the color change of the extract, or use an acid meter to determine the pH of the extract Value to determine the presence or absence of water- soluble acid or water-soluble base.

- Instrument structure
The water-soluble acid and alkali tester of petroleum products is mainly composed of electric heater, bracket, glassware, acidity meter, etc., as shown in Figure 1.

- Column: Fixed on the adjustable heater, used to fix the test vessel.
- Separation funnel holder: Used to hold the separation funnel. (3)Separation funnel: 250ml separation funnel.
- Erlenmeyer flask: 100ml Erlenmeyer flask.
- Heater: It is combined with the control part to form an adjustable heater with a heating power of 1000W.
- Voltmeter: It is used to indicate the heating voltage of the heater and display the heating power.
- Power adjustment knob: Heating power adjustment knob, stepless and
continuously adjustable.
- Power switch: Turn on this switch to connect to working power
- Acidity meter: PHS-3C acidity meter.
