What is Inductively Coupled Plasma Emission Spectrometer?
Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometer (ICP-AES) is mainly used for quantitative analysis of metallic elements and some non-metallic elements in liquid samples (including solid samples that can be converted into solutions by chemical treatment). Put the sample solution in aerosol form into a plasma torch, thus the sample solution is activated and the contained elements will emit corresponding light of characteristic wavelengths.After the optical spectrum expanded, the spectral intensity received by the photoelectric device and converted into electrical signal for recording. The content of the corresponding elements in the sample was determined according to the relationship between the concentration of the elements in the solution and the spectral line strength. (In brief, ICP-AES is mainly used for content determination of various elements in the samples.It is an instrument for quantitative analysis which can be used for testing the content of metals or non-metallic elements in a middle constant ,minor, trace quantity in various substances( which is soluble in hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, etc.)
